This place suits me perfectly! With its outdoor swimming pool, outdoor dining area, and free wi-fi, it provides everything I need. On my first stay, the staff helped me with directions, which I really appreciated. I highly recommend enjoying breakfast on the rooftop for fine views, and I can’t wait to come back for Christmas!

The rooftop dining experience is a standout, providing breathtaking views of the ocean that make every meal feel special. The spacious Superior Double Room with Sea View was beautifully designed, giving me the chance to enjoy stunning vistas from my room too.
The check-in process felt disorganized, with issues regarding room availability that caused unnecessary delays. the plumbing issues in the hotel led to leaks in the corridors and noise from repair work that disrupted the stay. The lack of an easily accessible elevator made lugging bags up to higher floors a cumbersome task. The WiFi was also pretty spotty. in my room, I often struggled to connect and could only get a signal in the bathroom.

A relaxing rooftop escape
My stay at The Seyyida was highlighted by the stunning rooftop views. Waking up to a delightful breakfast of tropical fruits and fresh bread was a treat! The staff was always warm and helpful, and the pool area was a lovely retreat after exploring Stone Town. I loved the hotel's location as it felt authentically local, giving me a chance to experience daily Zanzibari life.
Accessing the hotel can be a bit tricky, tucked away in a bustling alley. My room was spacious, but noise from the street came through quite prominently, which was disruptive at night. There was also a disappointing experience with the spa. the massage didn't meet my expectations, which was a letdown during an otherwise enjoyable visit.
